We all know how lotsa companies upsell their products via marketing gimmicks. With the smarter-than-thou attitude, we always think that we ourselves will never fall for such tricks.
Well, today i fell for it.
Who would have guess that the word ‘latte’ itself could be turned into a gimmick?
I intended to buy my darling a can of coffee to last her till her next interview. Knowing how hectic her schedule was, i thought i’ll get her some snacks while she was waiting for her next interview to begin, after all, her interview was a lil more than 10 min out frm my place.
With that thoughtful thought in mind, i took a lift down to the convenience store.
The fridge down at the store was packed with a multitude of colourful canned drinks, and this particular one caught my attention.

All i see was the big imprint Iced Latte, naturally i think this is the everyday coffee latte that we have.
*Lalalala*
So there i went, driving happily to deliver the ‘lunch’ for my darling gf…
Parked my car, waited for her to hop in, seeing her using the tissue to wipe the mouth of the can, then looking at her trying hard to peel the lid of the can before passing it over to me to do the job, then letting her take the first sip…
| Cheesee | : Darling, i know you would love coffee, so i purposely buy u this latte |
| : *GRIN, thinking that i’ve juz added another brownie point to my name* | |
| Chizziechick | : This doesn’t taste like coffee… |
| : It’s written here Belgian Chocolate | |
| Cheesee | : but…but..it says here…L.A.T.T.E. |
| Chizziechick | : Latte means milk in Italian |
| Cheesee | : -.-”’ |
| : *SUCKERED* |
Moral of the story here is, always ALWAYS read the product description before you buy anything, even if it’s just buying a can drink
Also, note to self, latte ≠ coffee with milk
Sigh…

Thank you so much for the Iced Latte Belgian Chocolate drink, darling.
I know it was a little late into lunch time already when you picked up my call close to 2pm, but I forgot about the time and didn’t think about lunch at all as I got out from my 1st interview of the day. When I realised that my 2nd appointment was 3:30pm, I tried to get you to come have lunch with me. I mean, I was hoping to be able to, since I was just minutes away from your office/home/possible lunch spots.
I’m sorry for being a lil naive/ignorant, as I didn’t know you were having an all-important lunch meeting. Tired from all the lack of sleep, driving about town, losing my way, finding my way back again, then go through the interview and feeling nervous yet lethargic at the same time; I did not put it literally to tell you that I wanted to have lunch with you. I told you I would take a nap near my 2nd interview spot and tried to find a nice quiet shaded place to park and rest. You wouldn’t believe how much I had to drive to find a spot that wasn’t even really shaded or quiet (there was tree trimming going on on the other side of the road). I was just tired and disappointed that I couldn’t care less anymore. I set my alarm to 3:15pm and covered my face with my resume folder and fell asleep. I am impressed with how I got to really rest in that short span of 15 minutes, being a light sleeper.
Anyway, your call at 3pm (after I napped for 15 mins) came as a surprised. I thought you were giving me a wake up call, which I told you I didn’t need one. I was a little frustrated, but you told me you bought me something to eat. That really cheered me up. Really. It warmed me right from head to toe (even though the weather is rather warm already). I was even happier when you told me you got me coffee. But the feeling died down a bit when I had a sip and knew immediately that there was no coffee taste to it.
I think it actually turned out better, because I hadn’t had any proper breakfast and my stomach was empty. It would be better if I just had chocolate milk rather than coffee, which could upset my tummy and wouldn’t be good because my interview was in a couple of minutes time. Even though coffee would upset my tummy now and then, I still love it. So thank you again darling. It was really sweet of you to bring me snacks. I was thirsty by the way, throat has been dry since the 1st interview and I didn’t have water in the car.
Alright, remember, Latte is Milk, Caffe Latte is Coffe with Milk
muakz. love love love u. *big smile on my face*

Darling, you do realise it’s not that hard right? Having done it again yesterday (reminder: Starbucks’ 10th Anniversary).
Looking at you smiling and being happy makes me smile, inside and out. Everytime I look at you I want to kiss you. When I stop kissing you, I look at you again and want to kiss you again and so I do. You’ve probably noticed me holding your face and kissing you non-stop. This is what has happened.
Warming me up.. Well, the easiest way for you to warm me right up is to give me a good hug. I love hugging you, and it’s really one of the best feelings in the world. Knowing you care for me, love me and will protect me from harm, guide me through hardship makes me love you even more. It makes the hugs that we have so meaningful, so powerful..
